Tourism - The Olive Oil Museum
Share
At the foot of the Luberon lies the Domaine de la Royère , which cultivates grapes and olives and thus produces AOP Luberon Provençal wines and olive oils in compliance with organic farming practices.
It was during our meeting that we discovered their museum dedicated to the olive, which, through a journey dedicated to the discovery of this iconic yellow gold of Provence, allows us to better understand this ancestral know-how.
From the different varieties and cultivation methods to the actual production process, this educational and engaging experience invites us to immerse ourselves in a world that blends knowledge of the land, respect for nature, and the pursuit of excellence . The museum visit combines interactive displays with antique pieces and even reconstructions, such as an old mill that recreates the production processes of the 1930s!
A true work of art by Jean Pierre Hugues, who carefully and patiently collected all the elements presented, this museum is comparable to a duty of remembrance honoring that precious fruit, the olive.
The highlight of the visit: a tasting will be offered at the end of your tour. A delicious moment that will allow you to further appreciate the quality of the estate's production!
